This headdress from Cameroon was part of a recent Grinter Galleries exhibition of African personal accessories. The exhibition, sponsored by the Center for African Studies and University Galleries, was curated by UF art history graduate students Susan Cooksey, Barbara Palmer and Rachel Wallace. The headdress is owned by Martin McKellar, an agronomist who acquired it while working on an agricultural education project in Cameroon sponsored by UF's Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences.
